Built-to-Order LV1 + MixingStation Case

If you are interested in ordering my custom case for using mixingstation with the Waves FIT LV1 controller, here is what you need to know….

  • Cases are built to order. Lead time depends on materials in stock, backlog, student and gig load, etc, but is generally 1-3 weeks
  • Pricing is $400 USD plus shipping from San Jose, CA (or you can pickup locally). No payment is required until your unit is ready to ship
  • This is a bare case only (plus brackets for mounting electronics as shown in images below). No electronics or wiring is included
  • For transport I recommend the Gator GU-2217-08-WPDF
  • Case is designed to fit the Acer UT222Q bmip 21.5″ touch screen display. This unit is also sold under other names (Plantar, Hannspree, etc). Displays that are not physically identical to this unit may not fit. (see https://www.amazon.com/dp/B095X6QFTD?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1)
  • The Z height under the FIT controller is very limited. I am using a MeLE Fanless Mini PC Quieter2Q (see https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08ZXQLNGQ?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_13&th=1). Make sure your PC is no taller than this unit. Brackets to mount the MeLE to the base board are included.
  • I recommend installing an Ethernet switch in the unit. This allows you to daisy chain other devices on the same network (2nd unit for monitor mixing, lighting controller, Dante devices, etc). I recommend the Ubiquiti Flex mini – https://store.ui.com/us/en/category/all-switching/products/usw-flex-mini and include brackets for mounting it. This unit not only fits the Z clearance, but can be powered via USB, simplifying the wiring.
  • The rear panel is punched out and drilled for six pass through connectors, but you will have to provide your own connectors. I recommend the following:
    • powercon input
    • powercon output (to daisy chain other devices)
    • Ethercon x2 (one input plus one output for daisy chaining other devices)
    • 2x USB or 1x USB plus 1x HDMI for adding additional devices to your PC
  • Construction
    • Sides are 3D printed from ASA (same material used for automotive interiors. Basically an upgraded form of ABS that is UV resistant)
    • rear panel, top panel, rear monitor arm are aluminum
    • bottom base plate is baltic birtch plywood
    • all hardware is stainless steel
    • rack rails are powder coated steel
    • includes 3D printed brackets and SS screws for mounting electronics, plus a junction box for AC wiring
  • The fully assembled unit, built out as suggested and placed inside the recommended Gator transport case weighs 39 lbs
